The download limit was reached for the YouSendIt link for a song posted a few days ago, and we’ve had a few requests to resend it, so without further ado:

MN MP3 Monday V: Mason Jennings-Duluth
This song has often been used to get those in the dark about Mason to dig him. Raw and lagging, it also mentions a stellar city in the northland. Here is the video for “Fighter Girl,” from his last album. MP3 of Duluth below.

New Music: Lissy Trullie
Lissy Trullie has been the latest on replay for me these past couple days. I was first drawn to her, as is often the case by her sharp and stunning head:

Then I heard one of her songs:

AND THEN I heard an outrageously great cover of a band that is not easy to steal successfully…find out after the jump:

France
Why not follow up news about THE premiere band in France with some videos from Les Bleus premiere artist Sebastien Tellier. These 2 videos for “Divine” and “La Ritournelle” are 2 dandies off Tellier’s 2008 release “Sexuality”.
**La Ritournelle**
**Divine**
Enjoy.

PHOENIX!

One of my most anticipated releases of the year is the newest by French outfit Phoenix. Their latest LP “Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix” is slated rise from the ashes in May……but that don’t mean they’re not gonna tease us. Follow the link to their first single “1901″. I feel it picks right off where “Its Never Been Like That” left off.

Enjoy!

Sunday Songs V

Part of the blues that occurs at the end of every weekend can be attributed to wishing you were some place else, with people you miss. And that is definitely the case with the following classic from British Invasion staple The Kinks. Waterloo Sunset is a song that evokes that emotion of solitude in a way that few other songs do. Enjoy the MP3.

Muxtape is back…kind of
Due to some frustrating disagreements with the major record labels, Muxtape as we knew it has ceased to exist. They are relaunching, however, as a platform for bands to promote themselves. Current artists include Dan Deacon and Girl Talk. Additionally, using Muxtape, I found Francis and the Lights singing this bassy song with a neat video tagged on as well. Read more HERE.

New Eminem: “Crack a Bottle”
In anticipation of the new album coming out this year…not his best work, but catchy enough and shows potential for the full album.
