Oh Dirt Road

Here is a bootlegged version of Bright Eyes joining Feist on stage to play “Mushaboom” at the Palladium in Worcester, MA in 2005. I guess the story goes that while on the tour to support “I’m Wide Awake its Morning”, Conor got out of the bus in the middle of the night in Ontario while the tour bus was fueling up. While grabbing some snacks in the convenience story, his ear was struck by the music emanating throughout the store and no doubt providing salvation for the lonely night shift worker. Conor asked the clerk who was this beautiful voice. He said it was a young singer named Leslie Feist and her solo album had just been released in Canada. The clerk gave Conor a copy of “Let it Die” and that was the only CD which graced the tour bus speakers the rest of the tour. Bright Eyes worked out a “Mushaboom” cover as well that they began playing on tour in 2005.

** Audio isn’t the best, but its still fun to listen too
