Kate Nash and MN’s Caroline Smith: Separated at birth?
January 16, 2008
Kate Nash has boomed into the U.S. with her recent release of “Made of Bricks.” We will be hearing much from this silver-throated gal in the near future, I am sure. (Don’t you agree, her voice has a more silvery tone than gold? Maybe nickel more so…) Recently topping the charts in the U.K. and expected to do well across the drink, she may be this year’s…Feist Regina Spektor?
Tough to say. One thing that is NOT tough to say how ever is the striking similarity between this female intoner and a lesser known (yet dare I say equal) vocalist from Minneapolis named Caroline Smith. The voice is one thing, as you will hear on the mp3s below, but check out the pictures below the fold. Yikes.

Pretty messed up, no? Now, I wouldn’t put these two in the category of Nickelback similar, but wow. The resemblance is uncanny! How could these two be so similar? Two thoughts come to mind. First, I have not seen either in the same place at the same time, though I have never seen Kate Nash in person. Second, see title at top of the post.
